Atypical radio galaxies from the ROGUE I catalogue

You are here

Project Description:

This project uses multi-frequency radio surveys to conduct a comprehensive study of radio galaxies with peculiar morphologies (including bent-tail radio galaxies and double-double radio galaxies) from the ROGUE I catalogue. The student will perform radio spectral analyses as well as visual inspection of recently published LOFAR radio images of the sources of interest to shed more light on the nature of the source morphology and nuclear activity. This will ultimately help us to better understand the interplay between the radio galaxies and their large-scale environments.
Research Area:
Astronomy
