Project Description:
The MeerLICHT and BlackGEM survey telescopes are observing selected areas of sky each night in multiple optical bands. Together they have obtained many thousands of observations on these fields. One area of interest is in regularly variable sources, either pulsators or eclipsing systems. The project would use the existing photometry from the two telescope projects, extract the light curves from known variables, determine orbital/pulsational periods, and construct colour-curves. If time allows these colour curves can be compared with stellar models to understand the physics of the pulsations/eclipses.
