Investigating the influence that different PSS’s can have on the shape of a light curve

You are here

Project Description:

The accuracy with which calibration is done on a single-dish telescope is very important. This project will investigate what the influence on a maser light curve can be when using different approaches during the last step in the calibration process, i.e. using different methods to obtain the point source sensitivity (PSS), when converting from Kelvins to Jansky's.
